Makarska is one of the most beautiful highlights in the entire Dalmatia region. Especially the long road D8 along the coast is famous for beautiful views of beaches and crystal clear water. Along the D8, there are numerous viewpoints and you can access the sandy or small pebble beaches from here.
However, you shouldn't spend the whole time on your motorcycle, but you can also visit the charming old town of Makarska for a short break or to explore the Croatian cuisine.
If you like natural spectacles like cliffs, waterfalls and magical turquoise water, Nugal is the perfect place for you! This beach surrounded by cliffs is one of the most underrated places and offers a unique atmosphere.

This quiet peninsula stands out for its many high mountains and peaceful fishing villages. Peljesac can be reached by ferry as well as via the connection point on the mainland. Besides magnificent beaches and wonderful views, it offers numerous vineyards, olive trees and small towns with old-fashioned charm.
In Ston, for example, you can taste the best mussels in the country and the winery is known far beyond the country's borders. The perfect place for foodies!
A little further north of the island you will find Sveti Ilija, a 961 meter (3153 feet) high mountain and one of the most common destinations for hiking. From Sveti Ilija you have a breathtaking view of the neighboring island of Korcula and in good weather it is even possible to see as far as Italy – truly a highlight!

In the north of Croatia lies the famous Istrian peninsula, the country's favorite vacation destination. Characterized by olive trees, the island consists of almost ancient small towns and villages that will enchant you with their architecture and culture. Of course, Istria also offers beautiful viewpoints along the coast to overlook the crystal clear water and beautiful bays – something the whole of Croatia is known for.
If you need a little break and you have a little time to spare, you shouldn't leave the Ucka Nature Park in the northeast unvisited. The highlight of this park is the observation tower on the 1400 meter (4593 feet) high peak Vojak. From here, it is even possible to see the Italian Alps and Venice!
If you get hungry during the tour, the Istrian cuisine is just what you need. Excellent wine, Mediterranean dishes, traditional pasta and truffles are waiting for you. The ideal place for those who want to recharge their batteries and treat themselves.
