Ready for some superlatives? The Dolomites in South Tyrol offer plenty, from classic Alpine routes to legendary passes. Add to that blooming apple orchards and vineyards in the valleys, as well as the warm hospitality of the South Tyroleans, and your motorcycle vacation in Italy couldn't get much more varied.
Just a bit of name-dropping and we already have the right images in our heads and the corresponding butterflies in our stomachs: Dolomites, Stelvio Pass, Sella Group… With so many pass highlights, how could South Tyrol not be one of the top destinations for motorcycle enthusiasts? And don't forget the lesser-known Italian gems off the beaten path of the "must-see" passes. The South Tyrolean MoHo regions stretch from the Three Peaks and Kronplatz to Eggental, Vinschgau with the Lake Reschen and Stelvio Pass, as well as Alta Badia, and all the way to the southern end of South Tyrol at Lake Caldaro.

Motorcycling through the Dolomites is both lively and impressive. Here, you’ll find dramatic landscapes, spectacular rock formations, and a host of legendary Alpine passes. The bizarre peaks of the world-famous UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites form the backdrop – and a top-notch biking area. But that's not all; Just a few miles away in Trentino near Lake Garda, you’ll find more thrilling curves on the Strada del Menador, the Kaiserjägerstraße. This former military road offers stunning panoramic views of Trentino, endless curves, and steep slopes. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle around Lake Garda, simply head back to the pale mountain peaks and discover one of the countless lonely narrow mountain roads or head towards Lake Caldaro. With the motorcycle dream of the Dolomites within reach, the South Tyrolean Wine Road offers a gentler experience. Motorcyclists in South Tyrol can simply cherry-pick the sweet raisins from the Panettone…
